Prophets are men who speak for God. Just as Jesus Christ had twelve apostles to assist him in sharing the gospel and leading the church, so today we follow that pattern with the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As Christ taught, "By their fruits ye shall know them", so today you will feel His spirit as you listen to the words of modern day prophets and apostles. There have been prophets on earth throughout human history. God loves his children and provides guidance for those who are looking for truth. Gordon B. Hinkley was one of my favorite prophets who was a great leader of our church. His wisdom and wit are a treasure and still inspire even after he has left this life.
